A unique and rare heirloom variety of carrot that is prized for its deep purple color and sweet, rich flavor. The purple outside makes a nice contrast with the brilliant orange interior, best served as fresh slices. Roots grow 7-8″ long; and the anthocyanin-rich purple coloration is a valuable bonus.
